I've owned a few. Currently only have a 4" model 29-2, just like yours. It's a keeper. I screwed up and sold a really nice 2" model 10. Dumbest thing I've done in awhile.

Hey NAA, what are you loading for the Model 57? That and my 657 are my latest craze! I've been putting 210 gr JHP over 21.0 and 21.9 gr of H110...it's a hoot! My accuracy suffers a bit with the 4" M657 and the 21.9 gr load though...lol

No longer a huge fan of recoil. My .44 Mag loads usually = .44 Spl specs these days.

For the .41 Mag my recipe has been 7.2 gr Red Dot over a 200 gr JHP for ~ 1150 fps. Or 9.3 gr vintage AL-5 powder [no longer made] over a 210 gr lead SWC for ~ 950 fps.

Barrel on the M57 = 6"; on the M29-2 it's 6.5".
