A flaw of the 1911 could be fatal 4 you.

Yet another reason the Russian Tokerev is a far better combat handgun. :stirthepot2: :nest: :D

But overall methinks this article is superficial, as I'm sure one can be trained around most design quirks in a weapon.

Well I just pulled out and tried it with my Nork 1911 Commander, no matter how hard I pressed on the slide stop protusion it would not budge, I did mange to move it slightly by pressing almost directly inwards with my index finger and racked the slide back and forth, it wiggled the slide stop but did not cause it to slide out of the frame.

You make a video of this happening and post it here otherwise:

Myth busted

Now lets get back to proving pretty girls don't fart.

If you try to keep your index finger along side of the barrel on a revolver, you will more than likely lose that finger because of the side spit from in between the cylinder and barrel. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.....

My goodness SPI, you type fast!

Just another post by a 1911 hater. :(

Slide stops occassionally come out at IPSC matches.

The fix takes 5 minutes with a file... file it down so it sits flush with the frame à la Springfield FBI Custom Pro model. Never had a problem with my IPSC gun, but then again never had a problem with my sti\ock Springfield where I haven't done the mod yet.

I guess you guys with blued models will have to take the extra step in re-blueing the filed off part. Still....
