A good .22 rifle

Hi i am looking for a good .22 rifle for hunting gophers and rats which .22 do you guys and ladies recommend?

a good condition bolt like Cooey or Marlin would be fine. I use a 1940 Marlin 81 repeater out to 200 yards. Cooey model 60 to 75 yards.

I was looking for a bolt action but i might buy a semi auto. Cooey, Ruger, and CZ all look like viable choices. I'll have to go to Cabelas or Wholesale sports to see how they feel in my hands. The AR 10/22 Ruger looks mint.

if that looks cool to you. your not a CZ guy. i agree the CZ 452 and 455 line are amazing guns. what do you want to use it for. target huning plinking get a CZ or a savage maybe a marlin. mod the heck out of it and make noise 10-22 is you gun.

CZ 452 or CZ 455. You'll eventually own one if you have even a modest appreciation for quality.

Savage rimfires are either rewarding or disappointing in terms of fit & finish quality and in terms of accuracy. Very hit or miss. How lucky do you feel today?

Savage's cheap stuff is just that - cheap. Their higher end models are as expensive as the CZ's and not nearly as nice. All depends on what you feel is most important.

I didn't have much luck with my SR22. It broke after my first time out with it. It's still broke and I don't know if I'll ever bother to fix it. I've had poor experiences with a NEW Savage Mk2 FV-SR and I'm still waiting for warranty service after having sent it out to a repair facility almost (6) weeks ago.

CZ for better quality, Savage for better price. Accuracy is the same.
Marlins are also excellent shooters.

I say Marlin for accuracy & reliability at a reasonable price.

Marlin xt for bolt ,marlin 795 for semi auto great shooters accurate without mods out of teh box and best off real reasonable
If you have a larger budget cant go wrong with the cz

I would go with the Marlin 795 from Cabelas.Pretty well the most accurate Semi out there out of the box.Great price and very reliable.Order an extra magazine while your at it.Cost me about 200 bucks with extra mag shipped to Ontario.

CZ, Savage, Marlin for a good, accurate starter.

10/22 if you want to spend an additional $200 getting a barrel that lets it shoot close to the groups the previous three can do out of the box.
