Hey guys my brother turns 18 this year and finaly gets his PAL. He already took the course but has just been waitung the last 6 years to be old enough to apply for the PAL so seeing as he can get it this year I thought I'd get him his first rifle. He really likes lever actions and I was thinking I'd try and find him one but I'd like to stay under 300 bucks anybody know of any that would suit my needs, calibre size doesn't matter. Thanks in advance.

If calibre doesn't matter Henry makes some nice little .22's. They're light and a ton of fun. That, and .22 won't break the bank if he's not making a ton of cash. They're .22 Mare's Leg is right around the $300 mark and I know they make a few other ones that could be in the $250 range. My brother had one a few years ago and sold it to finance a .300 Win Mag

Congrats! I have the "basic" Henry in .22LR and I love that gun for walks through the bush. It's wicked light, and my wife loves the thing because it's easy to get around in the brush with it. I HATE the irons however, so I mounted a nice red dot to give it a nice "modern" touch on something so utilitarian in design.
