A good day with a S&W Mountain Gun 4" 44mag

I know i would love to own one. Now i have to wait tell smith comes out with a 4.2 inch 629.

The 4.2 inch Smith's that are in the works will not be like the mountain guns, they will have the full underlug and added weight

I'll preempt everyone with the obligatory "but the extra weight will be better blah blah" "reduced recoil blah blah"

Did I already say I want a 629 mountain gun and can't have one

ya i know, but i have a 686 4.2 inch now, so at least ill have a matching set lol. Its the best i can get until laws are changed or I buy one and have it professionaly cut to 4.2 inchs.

My 629 has an integral rail using QRW rings

Do you have a close up pic of that rail? Sweet looking 629

Thanks guys for the comments. I can't see nothing without help now so I do like the idea of the dot sight. Works for me. Maybe I'll mount up a rifle scope and take it to the 100 yard line! Lol
