A good introductory ballistics book?

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good introductory book on ballistics theory for me?

I'm a relatively new shooter, but I'm already quite interested in long-range precision shooting, and can see myself heading in that direction in a few years time... Among other things, I'm also a huge physics / science geek, and I'd love to do some reading up on longer-range ballistics while I'm saving up to buy a decent rifle...

I don't know much more than was taught in my CFSC course (i.e. not much at all) but I'm pretty math / physics inclined, and generally do quite well with more technically oriented books...

Anyone got suggestions?

Check out Bryan Litz new book. He is a ballistician for Berger Bullets.

It is apparently very informative and not particularly geared towards one bullet manufacturer.

There is a post here on CGN somewhere about it.

Since you're physics oriented, try...
Understanding Firearm Ballistics by Robert Rinker. Pretty good read. Not much on long range, though.

Then get...
Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting by Bryan Litz.

2+ for Brians Book, I have at least 4 ballistics books, his is the best I have seen.

I think that Mysticplayer (member here) has some for sale. He brought a shipment up to Canada to cut down on postage on shipping

I have both of these above books, and two more slightly older titles I would also recommend are:

"Precision Shooting at 1000 yards" authored by Dave Brennan (a very good mix of shooting disciplines covered here)

"The Ultimate in Rifle Accuracy" By Glen Newick (benchrest shooting)
