a good movie about traditions and actual world for hunting mose in norway.

There are some miserable people on the internet don’t mind them, if anything feel a bit sorry for them. I only have time to catch a bit of it but the gal’s got the girl next door charm and the scenery is interesting to see. Travelled the coast of Norway 25 years ago, was blown away how much it looked like home.

My roots are in Norway. I enjoyed that film a lot.
Made me long to go and join them.
It is great to see the Female hunters enjoying
the outdoors as they were. Dave.

Nice silencer:) I'll watch the whole video later. Sounds like they use dogs. Seen a few videos from Sweden hunting with dogs. Or a dog. They can also use silencers

Watched it and it is a good movie!! I have a Norwegian friend that goes back every year for a few months to hunt moose with his friend and family! He has a dog trained for moose some kind of spitz from Sweden!

the national dog of norway is the norsk elghound or the norvegian moose dog ... hunting breed and was well represented in the yukon as one breeder was all summer and in the fall in atlin. the daughter took over but they re not hunting with them anymore ...

but some are using the swedish version too ... some others are using the laika or the finnish carelian bear dog (very good for wild boars and of course bears) ...

Good video. Makes me want to go hunting.
The tracked cart was a neat piece of equipment, but I imagine wherever you could get with it an atv would go as well.

Thanks for sharing that video Medvedqc .... I enjoyed watching it.

What I found interesting were all the fires when they were actually hunting .....

What a market for scent control products ..... lol

It seems scent control is not a thing in Norway .... and they are getting their moose (ups elk) anyway ...... ;)

We do fires too, we cook and we talk, we don’t wear camo either, we don’t use magnums, we shoot grouse when we see them!

soon one of your writing will be wrong lol ... the 7x65r and the 7x64 brenneke were called magnum in the past, especially compared to the 7x57 and 7x57r .. the 7x64 was offered to be a sniper caliber for military and was well recycled to civilian uses ...

well we can sum up that whatever tools you re using is being among friends the most important and this is what carries the hope for hunters up to the time of the hunting time and up to the time they can come ...
no matter the clothing, the rifle, the scope or the clothing ... the spirit is the most important.

the future of hunting is coming with attracting new comers including ladies and the can be said for the whole shooting sports.

the draw episode remind me a friend hunter i guided that was from maine and was doing the same way in a big room with everybody crowded in and celebrating even if not drawn.

now most of the draw are done by computer.

Nice to see working class guys with their dogs in their backyards with guns they’ve probably owned for 30 years hunting for meat . Easy to lose sight of that sometimes, for most this is the peak of the hunting experience
