Hi!!

Anyone know a good Red Dod Optic for a 22 cal.

Because it did not have a heavy recoil, I know I can buy a medium or low cost Optic. But I want something relable.

Anyone can recommand to me an particular optic??? NCStar, Bushnell, etc...????

Thank You for your help.

if youd don't mind the price point of around 170 get a vortex strikefire, i threw it on my ruger target tactical 10/22 and its cuts the center of a target out at 50. One shot tactical has em

There is the bushnell trs-25 ..its a good red dot for the price.
Check out this thread listed below , it has a picture of the item and the website for the company in the states.
Others on here have got them from there with no problems at the border

Red Dots

Unless someone has carried one through four seasons and all types of weather there is no way to really attest to overall reliability.
Here are two things to think about. If you are going to use it where winters get quite cold I can almost guarantee battery problems. Secondly, if you want pinpoint accuracy then the dot simply covers too much area.
I have two on .22's - a Docter on a higher end Trijicon clone and a Tasco Red Dot. Both have worked good so far and they are great fun for informal shooting. I have never used either when it wasn't comfortable to be out and my opinion is that I wouldn't carry either if my well-being depended on them.

I also own and recommend Bushnell TRS-25.
Great value for the buck.
Good built quality.
Nice optics and very small 3 MOA.

Here's a review from that Nutnfancy guy.

Thank you all!!!

Many response in a short time... :) I own a a SL8 and I have a Vortex Spark on it. I really like it but I want something cheaper for the Rugger 10-22. Bushnel and Vortex seem the best choice.

NCStar... What do you think of it???? They have a lot of differents RedDot ...

Don't bother with them, go with the Vortex optics for an RDS. If you plan on using your rifle in the dead of winter, get a decent optic that doesn't need batteries.

Bought a Tasco Red Dot for my Ruger 10/22. Afixed it properly, and love it. If set properly and you do your part, its bang on around 50 yards. Can hit within a couple inches at 100. It cost $50 bucks at Canadian tire. Its not like you want hyper-accuracy from a red dot. Its for hitting a target QUICKLY within 50 yards...right? IE easy simple plinking.
It hasn't broken yet.. but I always forget to turn off the dot. The plastic seems to rub off the aluminum inside around the rail clamps. It still adjusts to be damn near perfect.

Just bought a Bushnell Trophy 3x9x40mm for the distance.

i went with the sparc on my 22lr
