Paul and I were just discussing doing the same sort of hunt but in Newfoundland for Moose.

I've come to the realization that we two may be Canadian bogans.

I should elaborate mate, the story went on and I had a 7mm08 in my hands, an the other bloke a 308 at the time, So we have chosen out biggest bores for this hunt, hence the 9.3 an 35w, We finally located, and got shipped a 50 box of RCM shells for his 338 but its definatly been back seated for this Tikka 9.3.. its good to know there is around 85 cases for his years now.

I'm one of those ' ya don't need a magnum' men , who thnks a good bullet in a 270 win is plenty, anything more is just better

...But it has hit right on the point of the shoulder...drilled across very broad wound channel for about 6-8 inches then I couldn't find the Bullet,...

I think I will stick with the 286gr Nosler Partition for heavy game. Plus it has an impressive ballistic coefficient of 0.482.

Supercub has a Whelen. I have a Wagner. Aside from being a great excuse to put some moose in the freezer, I could also show him how much better the Wagner is than his sad old Whelen.
