Well today is the pits, I started coming down with a hell of a cold and this morning just feel worn down and like crap. I was up before light so I thought I would go do a set or two and headed to a spot that I have not hunted only a couple times. Got in before light or at the edge, Parked beside the barn and walked back behind it to the far side of the field. I got the caller setup and settled back against a pile of cedar rails setup the bipod and turned on the caller. I played Baby cottontail and not only did I get the caller going I look up and see a yote coming up the field edge and he turns facing and looks right at me. I took steady aim felt good and squeezed. To my amazement he runs and over a rise that I could not get a follow up shot.

As I just started, I carried on and finished out the set with only hearing gobblers sounding off in the woods around me. After following up on the shot I see that hair is all not one trace of blood...

I guess you win some and miss some :(

Hahahaha , thanks guys we all miss and I'm the first to say I do. Its been tough in the last week as the snow is melting and the early morning crust of the frozen snow is giving most setups away. Its almost over as Turkey hunting is slowly taking over here...

I did buy another 2 boxes of ammo - O Epps are out of the Hornady superproformance 243 58 gn Vmax lol

The peanut gallery was wondering why Adrian hadn't posted any new pictures of successful hunts this weekend. Now we know.
