Thanks for the beautiful pics. Reminds me of when i was young.
And we always got a few moose.
This was the best post that i have ever seen.
The steaks were really good, especially the tenderloins
i'm 75 now.
Getting too old to hunt moose.
Unless i get a young partner
old timer lou 75

Nice photographs and great memories. I guess moose is the favorite choice animal for hunting within your group. Thanks a lot for sharing, I enjoyed it!

How did you get so many photos in a single post? I think CGN limits me to seven photos max per post.

I dunno, just loaded pics... took a damn long time to sort through, not sure I got all the ones I wanted.

I know there's guys on here that could post up some impressive stacks of pics (Eg: Hoyt).

@ track: yes, moose was always favourite animal to hunt, but there's been a huge decline in the moose herd in the Swan Hills, due to which, I haven't hunted moose at all since 2013. And that was as a tag-along on my buddies tag. Haven't drawn a tag for myself since 2012.

But I'm getting the itch to have a go... might go for moose this year depending on how scouting goes this year. I'm hunting all new to me country, but not new country, if you know what I mean...

@ FLHTCUI , yes you can see some pretty ####ty pic quality in those old cameras... those stupid 35mm point n shoot. And I've always been a hunter first. All these guys now, the post-kill pose with the animal in 100 different pics, I just hardly ever did it. Very seldom even took one field pic like that. Majority of the time it was just the rifle leaned against the rack. A shame I guess.

I never really bothered to learn the self-timer even. Ooops...

Moose numbers have been slow decline across North America for various reasons....wolf and bear predation, winter ticks, unregulated hunting and habitat loss. You have had some impressive success over the years and a lot of moose steaks! Hope your photo album doesn't represent "the good old days." Thanks for sharing, enjoyed looking at it.
