these shorty / AR Pistols have always caught my eye.
when SFRC had a sale on uppers a couple months back i decided to pull the trigger and pick up a 7.5" and a CCS stock.
as luck would have it i found a matching stripped lower and Canada Ammo.
then i picked up a box full of parts from True North and went to work at putting together this fun little toy!

i must admit its a lot smaller then im use to for a AR but wow is it ever fun!

had it out at the range last week on days off and i was surprised at how easy it was to maneuver.
i guess i was expecting it to jump a lot - which it didn't.

all in im very happy with the new addition.

a lot of firsts in this gun for me.

i must admit, i do find the trigger guard to be rather thick.
i guess im use to the thin aluminum ones.
this solid one made right into the lower is..... rather thick!
i find the sides of it dig into my middle finger when im holding the AR wtih one hand.

i find myself wondering if i can grind some of that product off and then reanodize or paint that bottom part again.
anyone else run into this with NEA lowers?

i enjoyed putting this together so much i already picked up 2 more lowers when they where on sale and i also picked up a 18" upper in FDE.
figured id put together a DMR this winter when the snow falls.

for the 3rd one im unsure yet..... im kinda thinking a 7.62 upper or a 300 Blackout or maybe even a 50cal - totally undecided on that one.

Congratz on build! Only downsize is the loudness. 7.5 is quite deafening.... 10.5 (my friend thought it was a .338 at 15 yards away). Shorter barrel AR's are hella fun. Glad you had fun putting it together then putting to fun. You WILL like 18" AR's. The accuracy is nuts when you put a scope on that.

That looks awesome! I’ve put together a few 16” ARs, a 18” precision rig and have another on the go. I also took advantage of the sale on the NEA stripped lowers. Not sure what length I want to go with the NEA yet. Was thinking 12.5” tho! I also find the trigger guard to be quite bulky.
