A La Buffalo Bore

full power buckshot

Try 3" Hornady Heavy Magnum Coyote OO... 1.5 ounces (15 pellets) of nickle plated OO buck at 1300fps. It's pretty much the only buckshot shell I have seen that I would load for bears. 9 pellet reduced recoil loads are for mice in the basement :)

I still have about 200 rounds of 3.5" Winchester Supremes 00 buckshot - 15 pellets copper plated @1450 fps ;-)

Max load .357 for rifles.

Out of my 20" Marlin I've got a 140 grain bullet going 2050 fps for 1300 ft/lbs at the muzzle. And that's with published loads off Hodgdon's website. Make something like that available to the non-reloading public and there will be happiness abound I'm sure.

Also, I'll be buying the buster 45-70 loads once they're available.

It's interesting that you'd take up something like .38-200 but not 10mm. I roll my own but pretty much everyone I know who doesn't begs for full power ammunition. Nothing in Canada comes close, silver tips are expensive, inconsistent garbage and Hornady is easily 200fps behind. Then you have everything else rem, AE and such that is barely beyond .40 S&W ballistics. Personally I'd vote for big magnums like .460, .500 and the like.

Well, didn't you know that Webley owners are prolific shooters, and use their firearms for large volume shooting? Laugh2
