A Little help Dating...

yes you read that right. but not the way you think. i recently came in to the possession of an armi san paolo 1862 Reproduction of a 3 band lee enfield .58 cal. beautiful piece real nice, but i can't seem to date the damn thing, i can't find any proofing stamps. the one i think might have been a proofing stamp seems to been poorly struck as its completely indecipherable. the only thing i really have to go on is a real real low ( a four digit) serial number. like the winchester model 1894's is there a database of serial number production years?

Most Italian reproductions have a date code in a rectangle stamped near the proof marks.

The date code is the problem, it was poorly struck and not legible, thats why i was asking about a serial number dating system. and as for plenty of fish lmao that how i met the wife 6 years ago
