Hi all

I have the opportunity to buy a Winchester model 275 pump action in .22 magnum. It's said to be 1975 vintage and in fair condition. The owner says he has a problem with bullet extraction and working the slide. It not been used in a while but cleaned and oiled. Any thoughts, or any one have any experience with one? Fair price? but only if I can get it repaired.

Much appreciated for all opinions

Not sure if this is directly applicable but there were several brands of 22 ammo that wouldn’t even chamber in my single shot target rifle so perhaps check the brand of ammo that current owner used. As well some ammo is waxy and won’t always work well.
I had a cheaper 20 gauge pump shot gun that hated certain brands of shells and worked ok for one or two shells then it would bind or fail to extract. I tried several different shell brands and ended up with two that worked like a charm. With both firearms nothing was changed except for the ammo brands. It may be more effort than it’s worth to by it as is unless you can physically see the problem, determine if is the ammo brand or are on good term with your local gunsmith!
