A little help with cost

I have found a used Bushmaster XM15-E2S 5.56mm Rifle for $1500. Can some one tell me if im being charged too much. The specs are below, and it is unknown how many rounds have gone thru it.

I would say it sounds like a good deal due to the optic that is on it. I am not 100% sure but I think they retail over $1000 for the sight alone.

It's a fair deal, they are about $1700.00 new with no optics, cross-reference with some of the sponsored sites. Ask for a round count, and pics. You can get a Norinco for about $1000.00, but they are not heavy barrel. Compare it to new Bushmasters and consider the optics and HOW used it is, and bottom line...if you feel it's too much-don't buy it.
 
I am sure that rifle is pretty beat up due to the fact it is police service issued ie. thrown in rifle racks in cars etc... The might be in great shape but you def want to see them first.
