Seriously - did some reading about them. They have quite the bad-rap and have been ousted from Iraq, at least officially I understand.

My kids on the other hand are great - the oldest has real affinity for guns. He dresses in camo daily and is obsessed by swat teams. I made him the gun in the pic while on vacation out of a broken tripod leg as the barrel. Receiver is a piece of pine, and the scope is a slice of abs pipe with a wire threaded through the 9/3 and 12/6 o'clock positions to make a reticle.

He did the camo himself and was justifiably proud. I never saw his eyes so large as when he first saw it. He regularly accompanies me to the range for lead/brass pickup ( and yes - he washes his hands). I can't wait till he is older and then I can give him a real one. :D
