A little oout of my depth....some info on a Hi-Power please?

if you're looking for a shooter, the Mk III hipower is what you should get. It's cast frame is stronger than the forged ones on older guns. It also has higher profile sights, extended ambi safety levers, and a tougher finish.

i have a Mk III with mag safety removed and a wilson's spring kit installed to lighten trigger pull a tiny bit, it's quite accurate and 100% reliable.

+1

I have installed the Wilson kit on a few Hi-Powers I have owned, and of course the removal of the mag safety goes without saying. Just waiting for mine to come back with a new set of sights and then install the last Wilson trigger kit I have and voila, my main shooter from now on.

Get yourself a Hi-Power.............!

Congratulations Andre. I'm a proud Hi Power owner, and I've been shooting mine in IPSC, and hopefully some IDPA soon. Don't let anyone tell you that they aren't competitive - I beat all of the local guys in my first match with mine, and I was against Open guns and STI's.

Some recommendations from me - use only the best mags you can afford. Mec-Gar are the best in my opinion. Avoid the Inglis mags unless you're getting them for nostalgic purposes. Hi Powers are fantastically reliable pistols, but the majority of their reputation, especially within the CF, comes from magazine failures.

Here's my little buddy (Also a "T" series):

That is a nice one, and i really like those grips! Could you recommend a place to buy magazines from, and maybe those grips as well?
Thanks
Andre

I have a Browning made in the USA,BDM 15 +1 even thinner in the grips with double stack than a 1911 single stack!

Double action,and Revolver mode!

Don't have any idea why one would want it to fire like a revolver ,but it does!

Thanks. I got the grips off of eBay awhile back. I can't remember when. As far as mags go, I just watch the EE for a good deal on Mec-Gars.
