A little sling wisdom from LAV

I don't have any real world experience, however I love my single point on my BD44. OST has been out of stock for UDC adapters for a while so I can't outfit my AR or Vz carbine to work with it.

I don't believe the VTAC 2 point will work on the BD44 without adapters or modification to the rifle.

I run a Magpul MS3 connector on the rear attachment of my VCAS. It goes to the side sling attachment on my ACR just forward of the stock. The front I left as just the material threaded through a rail-mounted bracket.

Having the MS3 connector lets me remove the sling quickly if needed, as well as I can then remove the handguard and have it seperate from the receiver for dissessembly withough having to undo the straps and buckles.

I'm in the sand-box for another week, but I will post up a photo when I get home.

Found an old pic. This is how I have the VCAS sling mounted. A new padded VCAS is waiting for me at home :)

I think we are all missing the point. Larry Vickers is on here!?!? How did I miss this? Since 2008!!! Guess I should come on here more often.

Didn't the RCMP and CFC send him the memo not to talk to us? :) He might give us ideas that they find embarrassing and contrary to their thought process. You know like it is okay to have firearms. They are tools to use. That sort of thing. Why would they want us to learn to use them properly and effectively? Larry, I hope they don't get the NSA on your behind now.

I was trying to think of why the VCAS sounded so familiar... Then I found one still in the box in my gun room. Better bust it out and install it! Not taking advice from a guy like Larry Vickers would be a major fail. Too bad it's in coyote brown, not sure why I picked that color...

Larry Vickers once posted about zombies in a thread I made. It was pretty much the happiest day of my life.

I've only used the VCAS in the bedroom, really need to finish my rifle so I can get out more. It gives me all sorts of ideas for building my own slings.
