:p While at the Euro FITASC Championship, I had a special visit at the Beretta plant and Museum. I visited the engraving area, all employed with under 50ish engravers. I also saw the custom shop where everything from DT 10L to the SO series was assembled. In the same building, ALL the competition gun are assembled from the semi auto 391 Trap/Skeet/Sporting to the DT10 versions of same. Every target gun is hand assembled and fitted! They proof ALL their guns in house. They also test every choke for pattern%.

Henry, thank you very much for the photos. I'll bet you had fun looking through the Beretta complex. They would have had a hard time getting rid of me.

Congratulations on your solid mid pack finish at what looked to be a very tough competition. It is nice to see Canada listed among the standings. Keep up the good work!

:) Thanks,
I had a great day one with one of several 23s, second highest on the Benelli Parcours. The next three days, I was not well spending several urgent moments sitting on the throne every day. It lasted into my return to Canada. :( It was also very hot there in early june, 32+C.

The shooting range in Lonato had tv cameras on every layout (10). From within the clubhouse, one could watch the shooting on one monitor while watching the actual scoring on another.

The gunshop had the best selection of target guns that I have ever seen. They even had a SO9 Trap gun (30,000e or about $42,000cdn) with a blank stock. Of course in Italy, every target gun is fitted to the new owner.:) Like it always should be!

Yesterday, I shot at Mid-Hudson Sporting Grounds, near New Paltz NY, 70 miles North of NY city. I shot with one of the owners on a 15 station sporting course. They have some very challenging and interesting targets. They also have a 5-stand and two FITASC Parcours de Chasse fields.Today, I will be shooting a Connecticut Traveller shoot at Sandanona (Orvis). It is one of the oldest clay shooting grounds dating from around 1880.

Have a great day,
Henry;)

Nice trip, Henry!
Thanks for sharing the pics. I especially liked the two lady's sitting on lawn
chairs. They must be "quality control" inspectors?

:p At every major FITASC shoot in Europe as in the World in the US, the two Renato Gamba girls are there as well as the Ford F250 fith wheel and trailer! They do get their high heels stuck in the grass. every so often!:)

Off to Oshawa tomorow am for the Cdn Open Sporting. ANd then Monday am, we fly to Minneapolis for a week of shooting at MH & H, for the World FITASC.:) At least this myear we have an official Canadian team.

More stuff, the next time I have a chance,

Henry;)
