I see you are from Ontario. I bet you benefitted from their flat $10 shipping charge on rifles.
Too bad about your loss, but I would not go on the internet and whine over such a petty amount, especially after the deal is done.
It's Wanstall's... they've never done wrong by me.

You are absolutely right!! I agree with 100%. I did benefit from this a lot. Nobody on this forum seems to understand that my main complaint was the phone call to the store. They could have easily said well yes the rifle may have been a bit more but just remember you saved a bit on the shipping as all shipping is $10.00.
 
Won't matter what I say now on this forum. I will already be an outcast because I made a complaint. I have found that gun owners are the quickest of the trigger to shun somebody as an outcast. So much for being able enjoy this hobby.

Wasn't the point of this thread to complain about Wanstall's ... publicly? A letter, an email or a phone call would voiced your complaint just as well.

But now you are griping about how you are viewed, based on a public complaint?
 
You wanted to 'deal' after the deal was done. That's your main complaint when they wouldnt.
Let it go, just admit u had a bad day and felt like venting, and move on.

Did you miss the part where I already said I made a phone call??

How many more times would you like me to say that the phone call is what I am upset about. I thought a forum was to talk about experiences. I didn't feel that my experience was handled as well as it could have been. Should I have maybe waited a little bit to cool off, yes. I was in the heat of the moment and should have waited until I cooled off and then contacted the company at a later time. Have I learned a lesson yes. I got ripped apart on the forum that I am on everynight over $30. Was it worth? Definitely not.

For this I apologize for my part in this. I will no longer be posting on this thread and I will be sending Wanstalls a PM to explain how I felt and to make things right. I will make it clear I will keep the rifle.

Again I am sorry. As I look back I overeacted over basically nothing.

I recently paid double for a reloading scale on ebay. I found the much better deal nearing the end of the auction and watched the seconds tick down to my having to pay twice as much. Moral of the story, shop first, then buy. It's called LIFE. Suck it up.

You are absolutely right here. I have had a bad day and I basically came on here to vent. I have sent the company a PM. I will be keeping the rifle as I still want it. Sorry to everybody. Should have gone shooting instead of typing.

Yes, I read the part about the phone call.

Looking at the title of this thread, and that it is in Wanstall's portion of the forum, I don't feel that you meant this to be a discussion. You complained about the dealer and asked no questions of the members here.

Several of the replies in this thread are from other members who are telling you of their experiences.
 
So you obviously were willing to pay what you did for the rifle and now you're butt hurt because you could have saved a few bucks had you shopped around? I don't see how wanstalls is at fault. The price you pay is your problem. Once the transaction is complete the product is yours whether you paid too much or it fails. This belief that the vendor should hold your hand and assure the product is functional for life is pathetic and greedy.

So I sell you my old car for x dollars. You then call me after the sale as you've found one in the same color, trim and mileage for x dollars less and you want me to give you some money back...

I've had nothing but great dealings with these guys- including them making an error right to my benefit... Next time you might try doing your research before clicking purchase on the website, usually works out better that way.
 
Make note NEVER to make a deal on the EE with this guy.

Yes sir, that would be about right. Who's fault is it that he did not do his homework BEFORE buying from any dealer? I didn't see anything in there about a price match guarantee. So with that in mind, they offer him a refund. What's mis-leading about that?
 
Again, I was hoping they may cut me a deal. I have seen plenty of other sponsors on this site do that. So I am guessing that every single person on this thread hasn't been upset when they purchase something and the next week it is on sale somewhere else. What will that company normally do? Usually they do something to keep you as a customer.

I have sucked it up before and just lived with it but it was the phone call that I made that really got to me. Maybe I just didn't think it through before posting here.

Hope all you like, nothing wrong with that. But I don't see how you are entitled to anything beyond a refund. Geeze man, if this bothers you, think about selling your guns now, or dealing with different sponsors with different policies will soon get you frustrated again! Good luck.

You've got that right. Never mess with a gun owners store!! Gained valueable knowledge today. You won't see me posting about anything like this again. Next time I will be shop around and if end up paying more so be it. Definitely wish I just said damn and put my foot in my mouth.

we might be an entitled generation, but giving up on us won't get you far. some of use are 'educatable'.

like I said, this should be a healthy learning experience.
