a moose tag transfer

any one have to deal with this problem???we are a group of three that go moose hunting.....the one guy that got the tag for this year ,has informed us he cant go.....now i know we can transfer the tag to another...but do we still have to be a group of three???

It's obviously a group tag or you couldn't transfer it, so the member the MNR will transfer it to will have his Outdoor Card # printed in the corner of the tag. Both of you go to the MNR office it should be quickly & easily done :) for $10. :roll:
 
Unless they changed the rules, you should still have two pool 1 guys next year & a single pool 2 to add as count toward a tag.

This year we had 5 pool 1s & 3 pool 2s to use as count toward a 8 required tag :roll: Result 1 cow tag.

all the guys in pool A who applied this yr will be SOL next year(they'll be in pool B) :arrow:

you only end up in pool "B" if you draw a tag, otherwise you stay in pool "A". You will also go directly to pool "B" if you didn't apply the previous year
 
i had to do it its easy as was said the guy who gets it is preselected.

It happened to me 2 years in a row (in an area where there never are tags available to pool 2) I got selected and couldn't go.
what happened is the guy who got the tag from the transfer went into pool 2 the following year whlile the guy who did the transferring (me ) stayed in pool 1. but the second year in a row when I got selected again and transferred again both the recipient of the tag and I went into pool 2.

unl;ess they've changed it, that's how the system works . At leasy it makes it impossible to be selected 3 years in a row (at least in an area where there never any tags available to pool 2

the biggest problem is the one that got the tag has yet to receive it in the mail yet.....but from what i hear its easy to fix up to

nothing wrongits in their records that he was chosen so we go and get another one . while we are there we get it transfered to someone else

i'm the cute one plus the girls in the MNR office liked the flowers i brought them :lol:
