I though you milsurp fans might get a kick out of this.

Its a Blue Wildebees that I took in South Africa a few weeks ago with my friends MN (1941 Finnish IIRC). He has had the rifle since our college days. Its been sporterized in so far as he has added a plastic stock (ATI?), a Timney trigger and has had the bolt altered. The steel scope base attaches to the receiver ring only, of course, with three screws. He has used it to take many head of game.
On this day I was using a 215gr Woodleigh .311" in Lapua brass, driven by Somchem S365.

Awesome. Wow. Shows that a rifle can be modified and altered to modern needs and current use and does not have to be labeled bubba or tacticool.

Yupp. I plan to get a mosin down the road, half because they are just bad-ass, and half because my friend is a total non-believer in milsurps, and I wanna show him that a 100-year old Mosie can drop game just the same as his precious 300 win mag. lol
