So with deactivations, you take any gun you want, have it disabled. Then its no longer a registered firearm? Or do they still keep tabs on it because it all evil looking?
 
What's the justification for not being able to discharge prohib weapons at approved ranges, always wondered..?

Me. I always submitted ####loads of SAP forms so I could exercise my right to enjoy my sport and they hated doing any work. Laziness is the bottom line. :mad:
 
Damn, that looks like a VERY nice Galil. I have used a couple exactly like that - except mainly the South African version (R5).

The longer mag is a 50 shot mag, hugely impractical for individual soldier stuff (imagine how high your prone position would have to be), but if you consider that they are designed for use in armored vehicles for shooting through gunports they make a lot of sense.

I have a pic of myself hunting with one of the semi auto only versions (LM5) in Africa from a couple of years back. I'll have a check.
