A new gun, which one?

I would get the Browning 270 because living on the Vancocuver Island means smaller deer, but since the Tikka is cheaper, lighter has a smoother action, I'll just have to take head and neck shots.

If you want a smaller cartridge, the 25-06 is a great choice for deer sized game.My hunting partner has a t-3 in 25-06 that shoots several loads into 3/4 MOA.

mistahmojoryan-I see that you list your address as Yorkton.I grew up 25 miles from there and return every year to hunt whitetails. There isn't much for other game, but there are still some good whitetails around.

Another western Canadian neighbour....this place feels so small sometimes!

Yeah, some good whitetail bucks and that's about it. Not complaing though; home is the best place to hunt. ;) I usually hunt public land in the Ituna area.

Not to hijack the thread but what do you hunt with when you come this way? (I know you're a big fan of the 300RUM.)

I hunt private land in the Theodore area and use one of my 7mmstws for deer.Sure it is much more powerful than necessary, but I originally wanted to do all of my big game hunting with one cartridge, and did so for a few years until I tried the 300ultramags.
