A new one and only 28 ga for clays

Now we know where your expertise comes from! BTW, it uses the same action as their African game guns, locks in the bottom of the receiver and into two slots in the breach face.

I am shooting it this weekend at Orvis Sandanona for the Orvis Cup.

Regards,

Henry;)

Looks like a dolled up citori:p

After detailed study and hours of serious deliberation I have to (reluctantly) disagree on this one. It's a lot nicer than my Citori even with all the 'improvements' I have tastefully done to mine in order to get it to shoot. :)

Thank you to putting the shotties straight! Not to gloat, but even here at Orvis Sandanona, most are amazed at having a French gun in the upper ranks of gunmaking!! I do not do it justice!!!!!!!! The balance is just so......

Regards,
Henry;)

Don't feel bad about gloating Henry. It may be your one true talent.

Nice gun. Too bad about the owner.

Sir, Could you please pass the "Grey Poupon".

It took an hour with the RCMP firearms identification unit. I had here go through the Chapuis website ( http://www.chapuis-armes.com/Chapuis-Armes.html ) , look here, then see that, it is similar to this but,,,, I had the serial number, so it was registered before arriving. I had to do two trips to customs st the airport (all firearms from France must be shipped by air). The first to identify the package and myself. Then they sent it to be openned and checked that what was written as shipped, was. I cam back 2 hours later to pay the duty and taxes via VISA. I now have nearly sufficient points to pay for next year's Euro shooting trip.

I got the final results from the Griffin & Howe Game Conservancy today. I finished 17th overall and 13th by score with the 28. I did not do as well this Sunday at the Orvis Cup, finishig in the top third. But, I did win a nice piece of silver for the SxS Saturday main event with my Cleaborough & Johnson:

That is it for clay shooting untill the Traveller's Xmas shoot. I started goose hunting this past Thursday and pheasants this Sunday.

Don't leave too many breeders!

Henry;)

BTW, pictures of both events inmy website under the STOREFRONT :

Here is the first bird shot by it. I used Federal Gold Medal Target in 8.5 in the first barrel and Winchester 5s in the second. This bird was shot with the first barrel. My Drahthaar, Oban was used during the wet hunt. We got two more hens and I missed a hen and rooster. With a pointing dog, another gun would of assured us a much better success.

Hey Henry, Maybe one day I'll take you up on that invite. Sadly I've used up all my vacation for this year. Work first...play later is my motto.:D
