I searched for the old thread on this subject but nothing would come up, hense the new thread.
There are a lot of members that hold to the belief that Cannons are still under the old regulations before the May 1st 2020 OIC, I'm not one of them...I hope they are right but I think the OIC is very clear and so far, very enforceable.
Their belief is about to get tested in court for the first time....It was jut published that a young fellow in Winkler ,Man has been charged with a 7 of firearms offences, among them being charged with "Possession of a banned Cannon and another charge of "manufacturing a banned cannon" and there is also a listing of "cannon fuse" in the seized items so this cannon must/probably is a fuse fired outfit that a lot of folks seem to think that that fact makes a cannon a non firearm.....I guess we will now see how vigorously the crown defends that OIC to the letter!!!
