So after much serious contemplation I finally made a new purchase yesterday. Picked up a Tikka T3x stainless in 7mm-08. I have only owned a few rifles, all browning which I do like but decided to change it up on this one. I currently have an Abolt stainless stalker 30-06 and mountain Ti 7mm WSM. I also had a micro Midas 7-08 for the kids but they have grown out of it.
Seems to me the tikkas get the best overall reviews for rifles in this price range. Plus the T3x has a few upgrades like the foam filled stock and steel recoil lug. Contemplating changing out the stock for a Wildcat to drop almost 11 ounces. Could end up a bit over 6-1/4 lbs with scope if I do that. And still need to decide on what scope to put on it. Have a new VX5 2-10 on its way but that was originally going to go on my my WSW. Pretty sure I’ll go with the light weight Talley one piece mounts. Super excited to get her set up and start some load development!
