Anyone have any suggestions on which .22 to get? I've been looking at the Walther .22 and the SIG. mosquito .22, any comments or concerns?

or

Any other .22 to recommend?

Thanks in Advance

Myself i have always liked the Ruger MKII or MKIII 22 pistol.
Never had any problems with them and i like the feel of the grip.If you have smaller hands its a nice fit.

I agree with the them. Stay away from the Mosquito and P22... Holy breakdown city....

I personally liked my S&W .22 that I had for a bit, but the Rugers are definitely the way to go.

I second that the Sig and Walter P22 is not the way to go. In that price point, I would look at the Ruger Mk II (or maybe a 3) or a Browning Splash/Buckmark.

my 2 cents,

Brian

I bought the Sig Mosquito for my wife and I think I am going to buy one for myself. Great little gun for plinking with. Nice trigger pull very sturdy. Great to keep on target at rapid shoot.

I love my P22! That said if you did decide to get one make sure its newer production(firearm built in the last year or two) and that all magazines are rev "B" - that will solve 98% of the problems.
Its still no match for a Ruger MK II or III though - they are an excellent 22.

I have a P22 and MKIII 22/45. I purchased one of the first P22 around. The slide cracked after 5 - 6K rounds. Back to where I purchased it and the slide was warrantied. Probably put well over 15K rounds through it now and it still functions fine.

Only had the Ruger for about a year and it is a great pistol. More accuate that the P22. But hands down me and the wife prefer shooting the P22 more.

mosquito

I bought a mosquito last year and at first it had some problems with but after about 2000 rounds it works great now. I was at the range last weekend and put 1000 rounds through it and it might of had 15-20 mf,ftf... Some were ammo problems because I rechambered some problem rounds just to see if I could make them fire and I couldn't. I am 100% satisfied. My dealer (Wolverine) told me that the new generation mosquitos with serial numbers higher than 40000 were better than the old ones.

I have the Ruger MkIII Competition Target model and it is a great shooter. But for a real pistol look and feel I like my CZ 75 Kadet.

i bought a browning buckmark stainless as my second gun and it's probably the best buy i made gunwise!

Really cheap and it's just plain fun and reliable, i went trough four bricks of .22 witouth cleaning it once before it started to have problems!

I have a ruger Mk2 and love it.
Also have a Advantage arms kit for my glock. It is a little picky on ammo but great to practice with.

P22 is great pistol. I shot all pistols mentioned here, except Beretta 71, a lot of them good pistols but there is none as small as p22. It is neat, reliable and fairly accurate pistol. Size makes everybody at the range wonder why is it not prohibited - I get a good kick out of it.
