Gunnar, is that slide from one of the early 90's 9mm commanders???

Reminds me of the three caliber Commander I built. Must ask Bear if he still has it.

I've been running a .38 super barrel in my NP29 for a while now.....shoots nice. Was a simple drop in affair.

Forgive my ignorance...

But I love the look of the commanders by norko, the only thing stopping me from buying one of the tuned gunner specials is feeding a .45

Is .38 Super alot cheaper / comparable to 9mm pricing?

If so, I think I've found my first handgun!

Thanks guys

.38 super is expensive to shoot as well. 9mm is cheapest to shoot. I saw a Springfield slide and barrel with a Norinco frame too. It was also fit by Gunnar but I don't know how it shoot.

Well, you guys are an observant bunch :) I personally like .38S as it just has a bit more Pizzazz than a 9... It is more expensive to shoot unless you reload of course. It is a Colt Series 80 .38S slide with a shortened Wilson match stainless barrel, but as mentioned above, a spare barrel in 9mm would be a cinch. I really wish Norinco would put oyut a 9mm Commander, but we can always shorten an NP29, right??

This one turned out well, with a very snug frame/slide fit, and accuracy was VERY good... bearing in mind it was snowing, cold, and miserable, and I didn't bother setting up my Ransom Rest :)

As far as having all that time on my hands, well, most of you know better. I do feel it's therapeutic to every once in a while put in an evening (or sunday morning) just building something because it appeals to me :)
