Well, the first range day out with it , showed it seems to be hitting about a foot and a half low, and a foot to the right. Some adjustment to the front sight will correct the lateral error. However, on closer inspection, it seems Bubba had a go at the bottom of the rear sight slider- grinding it down probably 1/16 -1/8 inch. I wanted to try it out as is first, and my expectations were realized, it made for a pretty significant error.
Lucky for me I have a spare NOS slider
A minor repair, hardest part was getting the pushbutton out without damaging it since I don't have any kind of a pin wrench to turn the button. Careful clamping in the padded vise jaws worked. Now I just have to clean up and reassemble.
