A positive experience with the Hatsan auto tactical.

Mine is still going. 3 flats = 750 rounds of home mags 1 1/4 wax slugs plus 100-140 buck plus 200 fed factory slug loads

Mine refuses to quit so far. In the shotgun world that's a low round count.

Considering I am doing a 250 round skeet shoot tourney today with the beretta

Keep an eye on the screws that hold on the sights and pictiny rail. Tend to come loose. Charging handle broke on mine but Bell Outdoors sent me another Free of charge. Feeds everything.

Update :

Wax slugs 1 1/8 no problem function well

I am pounding this gun into or trying to into submission and it won't quit.

I am a beretta guy true and true and still am I love the 391s

But this gun is running. Hot cold wet dirty it's running

Bumping! Finally got out the Hatsan Optima semi auto - ran Challenger 3' target load and Rem 2.75' 00 buck through it no problem. Hefted nicely and I like the sights. Fun to shoot, easy to handle though reloading with the double tongues took a while to get sorted. Purchased from oilbaron and a great buy.

I have one as wel. See below on how they jam...

Bell, any solution to this???

This is not an issue we have seen in a few years. Newest generation of the MPA shotguns do not experience this malfunction. However, if anyone has an older model experiencing this problem then we will be happy to repair it.

A friend of mine bought the mag fed version of the Hatsan semi and once we figured out the forend was installed wrong and corrected it's alignment it seems to work very well. I own a different Turkish shotgun and asked the retailer I bought it from about parts and he said that the importer was bringing in parts as required and that anything could be ordered to make repairs. My biggest fear is that it survives long enough that they move onto the next generation and parts for my gun will no longer be available when I need them. Not sure what could actually break as they seem to be built pretty well with lots of big robust parts so I'm not overly worried about it.

Mine has been simply awesome. I broke a Cocking Handle early on, which Bell replaced for free. They even sent a spare at my request, as this seems to be the only weak link in the system and it seemed prudent to keep one on-hand. Otherwise, my Optima has been 100% to the point that I would trust it as much as my Rem 870. Bold words, I know. However the Hassan Optima is just that reliable and durable. The value for price ratio on these shotguns is extremely high - they are a genuine bargain for what you get. I threw on a mag extension, a Holosun circle-dot sight and a Streamlight, and called it a day. Bottom line is the Hatsan Optima is an outstanding shotgun by any standard.

Thanks for the great review of the product! We are glad you are enjoying your Hatsan.
