Hi everyone!~

I'm from Surrey, B.C. and while visiting my hometown on Vancouver Island, husband's cousin took us out to the range. I genuinely expected to maybe shoot a few rounds with a pellet gun and spend the rest of the time in the car with the iPad while the boys played. Instead I wound up spending most of the next six hours with his (very pretty) Savage Mark II BGTVXP putting tight clusters in bullseyes at 50m and 100m, to the cousin's surprise. I apparently 'out shot him on his own gun' but it was probably just beginner's luck. I do prefer sniper rifles in video games, though!

So now that we're home I'm looking into getting both husband and I our PAL licences. I'd like to get the same .22 that cousin let me use, and have been looking online at various ranges in the area to see if they work for our projected 'needs'. Cousin is trying to convince me to fly back to hometown in a few weeks for another visit and more time at the range there but $500+ round trip is a bit much.

Anyway, nice to meet you guys!

Welcome to the CGN from southern Ontario.

And welcome to the wonderful world of guns and ammo.

Glad to hear you and and husband are going to get your PALs.

Getting the gun you used and are familiar with is a good choice and a great start.

Good luck on your shooting adventures, let us know what else you pick up in the future.
Guns are like potato 🥔 chips can't have just one.
