a promise part 2...30-06 receipe needed

hey all.. to make a long story short... i have a nephew..that need to make up some loads to win a gun...
he has to reload his own loads and hit a loonie at 50 yards..
what he has to reload for is a 7600 remmy
bullets 165 gr powder 4350...
can anyone give the magic number for the ammount of powder to use???
chris if you read this your first leason on reloading your own ammo to win this gun begin on this saturday at noon...

i would like to edit to add...any one that thinks they can help this young know it all...to earn this gun... as in use of a range..please let him know...
if its with in an hour or two from me i will deliver him to you myself(wink)

there is no magic number for all rifles, each one has its own personality

somewhere between 56-58 grs. H4350 will probably be where you want to be for 165 gr. in 30-06

thanks tod and why not if there is any other secrets you,s can share ...please let us know... the bullets ive said are just a few hundred ive got kicking around...the same as the powder...if i have to spend a few bucks to get other bullets or powder ...that will be no prob..
but thanks to helping adding one othe hunter and shooter to our ranks

In my model 70 I used 60 gr of H4831 and 165 gr speer hot cores. It was very accurate and generated about 2800 fps.
