A question about bullet seating

My Norinco M14 can shoot both military and commercial ammos, for reloading, I'm not very sure how deep I should seat the bullets, please help. Thanks.

Deep enough so they fit the magazine and function flawlessly. There is no magic number. It depends on your firearm and the bullet you are using.

Use your loading manulas minimum seating depth. They are SAAMI specs and should fit your M14 just fine.

Thanks. I use Winchester 748 powder, Winchester 150gr SP bullets, but there is no any data about the seating depth in my manual...
