A question about Glocks!!!

So I have decided I want a Glock. I like the Gen 3 but the girp is TOO wide. The Gen 4 fixes this but I worry that its not as "great" and reliable as the Gen 3s possible due to the dual recoil springs?...any truth to this?
you don't like your M&P?

I like Gen4 myself and might get one for my Birthday day in Nov. I don't think there are any reliablity issues with the dual spring. My gen 3 29SF has it too and compact glocks already had them for a while. they work just fine.

i shoot a G22 regularly (being that i own one), and shot a friend's MP40 a week or two ago. nice, but didn't like the trigger pull - went from light to mushy to CLICK-BANG, instead of the Glock's medium to CLICK-BANG. but ya, the Glock is bigger in the grip even with the normal stuff (G17, G22, etc). it does feel like a slightly bigger gun.

all 9mm Glocks are gonna be the same size in the grip (other than height / mag length). if the G17 is too blocky, then a 9mm Glock is not for you (sad as that may be).

It can be done*... even if you are a lefty.

*Assuming you have an opposable thumb.

BTW this Chimp is watching too much Art of the Tactical Carbine I think.... That thumb over then barrel technique is killer.

If you're keeping the M&P I'd get something different. Beretta or CZ would be a good option both are pretty affordable too.

+1, i see no real reason to own two very similar pistols (both striker, no controls other than trigger, both polymer, etc), so if you already OWN an M&P, then.... hmm.... as much as the mag disconnect safety thing bugs the crap out of me, if you like how your MP9 shoots then maybe skip over the very-similar Glock and try something different

maybe a CZ, Beretta, or Sig would be an interesting contrast? the Beretta and Sig have fairly nice (big) grips, close to the Glock but since the panels are replaceable you can probably tweak them down a bit. the CZ is smaller from what i recall.

if i can sell my Norc 1911, i might itch to try a Norc Sig
