I recently came into possession, by way of a trade, of a Redfield 3200 20x target scope. This is one of the nicest scopes I have ever seen. It is 23 inches long, is made of steel, and has a high lustre blued finish. It also has a 40 mm. adjustable objective and target turrets. It has only very minor handling marks on it and has no ring marks. Its optics are extremely clear and sharp.Could anybody put an aproximate value on this scope and its age?

All of the older target scopes are quite collectable, Unertl, Lyman. Fecker, Litchert, and the Redfield 3200, of these the Redfield is the only one with internal adjustments. All of these are worth between $500 and $1000, with the Redfield at the lower end and Unertl at the high end. Its funny how rifles lose their value, scopes lose their value, but the old American made Target scopes have gone way up in value, one of my 3200s was purchased new in '69 for $139 but I wouldn't part with it.My Unertls are sacred!!
