A question on 870 magazine tube's

Hey all,

Looking for a bit of a project, I have had my standard 870 tactical for a while and was thinking of tossing one of the DA 12.5" barrels on for fun. As far as the magazine is concerned, would all I have to do be to change to a shorter spring and put an end cap on to replace the longer factory +2 extension? Also does anyone know where to get the magazine caps?

Ds tactical sells caps for the 870. As for a spring SJ hardware is a reputable dealer they may have caps aswell.

No it does not.

it was a model sold with an extension, so it would not have had dimples. For what he wants to do it wouldn't matter if it had a a dimpled tube either.

Well, there is the magazine spring retainer to think about. Strictly optional, sure, but it's a nice feature.

I just received two caps from dlask, they have smiley faces, maple leafs, skulls etc
