A quick, Prescription glasses question for long range shooters.

Do you guys wear prescription glasses when you are shooting? Or do you adjust for your eyesight using your scope? I have a fairly weak prescription, around -1.00, thanks for your time and feedback.

I wear my prescription glasses. And I have my prescription in my ballistics.

I sometimes just use standard safety glasses non prescription and adjust with the scope my sight is around -1.25

Thanks for the responses. 6MT, do you add your prescription directly into your ballistics program? How does the prescription effect the calculation?

For prone F-Class shooting, I use a specific set of prescription eye glasses with larger lenses and the frames adjusted (bent) so that I am looking through the lenses at 90 degrees to the surface of the lenses while lying down with my head and neck bent upwards.....

interesting never thought about my glasses affecting point of impact depending on the angle im looking through them....

maybe contact lenses or laser correction would be a good idea?

I found it a pain to adjust for consistency with my glasses on.. I have since adjusted my scope to my naked eye and remove my lenses when I'm behind the gun

I have a weak prescription...I can do most things without glasses, but glasses clears up some stuff for me. I SHoot through scope with or without and it doesmn't seem to matter. Scopes have limited focus adjustments though, so if you have a strong prescription I would use the glasses.

I have glasses, not as week as you but not horrible either. I shoot with them on. Never had an issue.
