How'd you come across him?

Mom was bedded down far from this one. It is a defence mechanism as the fawns have no scent and if the doe was to close then predators could zero in on the doe and stumble across the fawns. I later found a second one which was quite a bit smaller. I was walking my property when I found them. This is it's sibling.

Nice pics! I came across one just like this on my Uncle's farm in the Lanark Highlands last week. Pulled my digital camera out of my pocket to snap a pic & the #@!%! battery was dead. Oh well I enjoyed it just the same.
