I look inside every case to see if the powder charge looks 'normal' before I seat a bullet on my progessive press. It slows the process down a bit but it is well worth it. Despite this proofing I still managed to load a .380 case with my 9x19's the other day!

re: 380 / 9 x 19 , it's not easy but you can do it , when looking down @ the powder level your eye doesn't pick up the top / down diff . but you'll always pick it up in the chamber checking stage .
