My friend found this back near my family's home in Europe, he has promised to keep me updated with the restoration project. Thought I would share here. This has been deemed inoperable and cannot be made to fire again, so will only be a nice wallhanger. Thanks for looking!

Wow. That badly corroded, I very much doubt it can even be a wallhanger, but that just makes the thread that much more interesting. :)
Good luck to your friend, he's obviously not afraid of a challenge.

I think you should put a scope on it and see how she shoots (I would advise on using reduced loads for the first few rounds).

:D

I think he should put it in the equipment exchange.

For Sale: WW2 era mp40 in 9mm parabellum. Used very little and in collectible condition. Very good to excellent mint-ish condition with some surface rust that should clean off. I have not shot it so don't know how it will shoot, but the bore is dark with sharp rifling. $2250. First "I'll take it" rule is in effect...

These actually make pretty cool legal wall hangers. For those of you who have seen my place, I think you would agree. Alot more solid than many of you would believe. And yes, always a possibility there is a round in the spout, whetehr the firearm is 100 years old or brand new. Hope you've enjoyed the pics, thanks for looking.

Open bolt subgun means it's unlikely there's a round up the pipe...but you never know.
