A review for precision shooters - Bushnell Elite Tactical ERS 3.5-21x50

Thanx Tomochan for the review.

I am still Leary of spending close to $2,000 on a scope made by a company that built its reputation on more budget minded scopes. So in my case I will wait till they catch on more.

Max Owner - I totally understand. That's one of the reasons I don't own one of these yet. I am actively considering though.

You really have to look past the "Bushnell" name. It is manufactured in Japan, in the same factory that supplies NightForce, Bushnell merely applies their name to it.

I have the ELITE G2-DMR 3.5 X 21, for the money it is the best FFP on the market. The number of top ranked "tactical" shooters in the US that use them is not a coincidence.

Sure, some say the Razor, and the S&B have better glass (personal opinion), but is it really worth 2X or 3X the price....for me its not.

I have one. And I also think it's the best scope for the money in it's class.

So I was looking at these at WSS today and I've drawn a blank. Can anyone explain the price difference between the DMR, HDMR and ERS? Exact same specs across the board but different reticles account for nearly $1000 price difference. Is that all it is, $500 reticles?

There's a few difference with the XRS if I remember correctly, Can't recall them all but it does have zero stop, DMR and HDMR don't.

Also XRS is a Zoom Ratio of 6.7, HDMR is only 6.

Hm. The XRS is the 4.5-30, I'm just looking at the 3.5-21 DMR, HDMR and ERS. The only differences I can find between them are the reticles and they are freakin expensive!

Your product reviews are great. Read every one. As a fellow paper puncher I would like to see your review on Burris Eliminator XTR II 8-40 X 50. Don't know if you take requests but I'm trying. Again, thanks for the product reviews.
