"A Rifle With A Soul"

One of our neighbours here, a local rancher, grew up wanting a ......375 H and H Magnum.... stories of hunting in Africa, etc.... last summer for his 40th B-Day, his wife got him a Model 70, Pre-'64, chambered in .375... lots of recoil, but the rifle is heavy anyway, so that helps some... gorgeous rifle, like it rolled off the assembly line last week.... got a decent bull moose, as he does every fall, with that new rifle last hunting season.....

I like the title concept. There was a thread recently asking what we would have done differently in our firearm purchases over the years... I would have avoided "Soul-less" rifles... I would have saved longer, bought fewer rifles/shotguns, but the ones I bought would have inspired me... the problem is; being a touch OCD made it difficult to "wait" for the delayed gratification....

The caption should read Walter JR. and his fathers rifle.
The Last Ivory Hunter is a pretty good read.
I like the part when he hunts lions with a 30-30.
