Looks like a "Black Rifle" with the picatinny thing and the bipod.

I like the BIG lettering on the side for the visually impared. :D

Grr... I go hunting in Ontario with a ruger No.1 light sporter or a custom made bolt gun on a Mauser or Remington 700 action, and all the guys I run into either have a beat up .30-30 or an abused Remmy 742.

These maroons than always criticise my "poor choice" of fireamrs compared to their "meat guns" :rolleyes:

Of course they also party hunt with dogs and drive the deer with ATVs... it's not (IMHO) a hunt or exercise in skill for them - just a cull. (read unsafe slaughter)

Yup. Not really a practical hunting rifle. Can you imagine slogging through the bush with that over your shoulder? Frankly, it seems to me to be the gun equivalent of the urban Hummer- kind of a show-off, "attitude" gun. Or maybe, "we built it just because we could." And "Vigilance Rifles" has a bit of a wacko-patriot ring to me.

I guess they sell a few of these things, but if I were prepared to fork over $10k+ on a rifle for the sort of game those calibres are designed for (assuming it to be of the non-hominid variety!), I'd want to spend it on something like a Granite Arms or Martini & Hagn custom Mauser or maybe a Searcy double. (They'd be a bit lighter, too.)

Still, to each their own. If any CGN'ers buy one, I'm sure we'll get a range report!

I have a feeling guys that can afford to own and use this rifle will have little "assistants" around to pick up their brass, and pack their rifle, and skin/clean their Game for them. :D
