A Site on Wound Ballistics, US Army, WW2.

Important work no doubt. HArd to look at though, kept thinking about what the poor chaps were up to when they 'caught it'.

Kudos to the boys who do the fighting, but I am glad sometimes I shoot at paper which doesn't shoot back at me....or try to blow me up...or my car.

I found the case studies the hardest to read - "gutter wound" being a term I don't want to hear in real life.

That said, the section on helmets and armour is very interesting. The M1 helmet saved 70,000 lives. As I reacll the Americans suffered 670k battle deaths, so wearing a helmet reduced deaths by 10%.

Always wear your PPE!
