A stupid question?

Hi guys... I've been doing a lot of browsing on EE for my first rifle and pistol. But, does anyone know if this cabinet from Crappy tire will satisfy all the requirements for safe storage of my firearms? I'm a little fuzzy on this, hoping you guys can give me some insight.

Yes but only if you actually lock it and remember to take the key out of the lock.

It's legal. Aside from having a real safe the Stack-On products are quite good. I don't know if the one shown is the assemble it yourself one but I would prefer to buy the one that is already put together at the factory.
The 8 gun version does not have much room for handguns.

If you want something that's more resistant to forced entry short of a proper safe, get yourself one of those Greenlee or Knaack Jobsite style toolboxes. I started with one for my handguns, then when I got a proper safe it became my ammo locker.

Just remember when they say it holds 8 rifles, it really means holds 6 comfortably. 8 is one hell of a tight fit. LOL Its kinda like when you buy a tent, and they say its a 6 man tent, though you would never think of sleeping 6 in it.
