Two years ago I picked up a refurbed 91/30 sniper with a VG bore but some obvious wear & mild pitting. It always shot 2-3" at 100yrds with surplus but leaded up bad shooting cast. I recently picked up another rifle sans scope with a much tighter bore but missmatched. I figured I would take them to the range & the one with the tighter groups would get the scope mounted on it, so off to the range I went. Guess what? I can't tell the difference in the groups! Now what? I was going to sell one of them but should it go as is or get a repro scope & hope it fits or try to find an original?
