I was just digging through my scope pile looking for something to put on a .22 WMR, and I realised I have two distinctly different M8-4x's.

One is 30 cm. long, with a smaller objective, and a s.n. starting with an "L".....the other is 27 cm. long, with a bigger objective, and a s.n. that starts with an "x". Both are marked "M8-4X", and are in good enough shape that I can't really tell which, if either, is newer.

Would one of these be a '50 yd. parallax' rimfire scope, or are they just older/newer versions of the same scope? I'm sure I've had them both for more than 10 years.

Leupold had 2 different model m8 4x scopes. One had a 28mm objective and the other had a 33mm. AFAIK the 33mm is the newer model...
