A Tale of Two Tenda's

Nice, looks like it is possible to offer low prices and be efficient.... win-win.

Yeah, the really superb prices are a prime motivator and perhaps may provide an impetus for more patience than otherwise people would have. Then again, I've always said that as a whole, people in society are generally way less patient in various facets of life than they used to be even a mere 30 years ago.

But the great prices is a huge draw. Case in point: Tenda currently has a box of 50 rounds of Magtech Sport 44 Rem Mag 240 Gr JSP Flat factory ammo for a mere $43.99 a box. Compare that with the exact same thing at Shooting Edge ($74.95) and Wild West ($69.95). Definitely it makes for more compelling consideration when looking at picking up ammo.

They may not be the best at customer service, but they have always got me what im after at a reasonable price....Ever been for Pho? service on most of those places sucks...But i go for the Pho, not the service.

People lose sight of what they are there for.
Personally I'd rather spend the money on delivery and make an online order.
Taking time out of your day, fuel costs, battling traffic doesn't make sense.

.

That's the truth , some crazy nuts on this site cancel an EE deal if more than 3 hours elapses between communications..

I was there a couple times this year and took maybe a minute of browsing to have someone ask me if I needed help. Both times I bought something.

This was in Jan and Feb, the slow season so maybe people are realizing NOW when they have a sale on, Tax refunds are in... people will be ahead of them?

The greed of those two gun shops will catch up to them eventually. It happens to all of them.

Our LGS here in Cranbrook had the market sewed up for thirty plus years. They gouged and raped the public for a long time. Then a new Sherriff came to town, POW! Now they barely keep the doors open.

Make a little, sell a lot. Make a lot, sell a little.

It's simple math that greed cannot understand or comprehend!.......:)

You must not get out much…customer service is bad everywhere. We all have stories of going to a shop/store and being ignored by staff or watching a couple of staff chatting away while one person is serving…well, that’s happened to everyone but you evidently.

So you're insinuating this is unique to gun stores? Zero of this is new. What isnt new is rude customers acting out when the red carpet isnt laid out. Everyone takes this story as 100% truth when no one was there but OP. By his words he wasnt exactly a cheery or appreciative customer. Boomers and older generations expect people to take their #### because they took #### from the generations before them

You have zero understanding of the situation despite my very detailed account. There was nothing wrong with my order, no RCMP, no information I wasn't privy to, nothing! I simply wasn't being served, period. On my second visit, I immediately asked for help at the counter, trying to avoid a repeat of my first experience. I was told to wait in the pick up line. We were all waiting for someone to serve us. As soon as my turn came, after 45 minutes, the order process took 30 seconds.
I can tell by your response that you are a "customer service specialist" at your workplace. Is it Tenda? LMAO. I bet it is...

You didnt actually read my response.

Clearly if your order was 30 seconds processing time it goes into what i actually said.

You're mad at management for having a bad system. You're mad at management for them not having enough staff for their process. This is what they call "first-come first-served". The process requires there not being a full line in front of you to be served. This is stupid but this is how the management choose to do it, not the employees like i was saying.

Some people have worked retail or in similar businesses. Clearly if anyone here has a differing opinion of how you yourself talked about making passive aggressive comments and likely made it into a negative experience must work at Tenda.

If you think genuinely someone from Niagara region is travelling and working at Tenda than you have zero idea what reality is or these people are paid. You can give yourself a hint and look at the job postings they post here.

This is truth. I remember when I recently got my Henry Big Boy - I was able to scour a number of websites to price compare. Most were reasonably within the number for which I ended getting mine. But I laugh as I remember seeing a couple of stores list it for $500 more. That is quite the variance and no doubt, there is a reason why they still have lots in stock.

We all understand smaller gun stores can't price things to the same point as a larger one like Tenda can, who offer deep discounts. But most gun stores are fairly competitive, and in many cases for what they can't offer in terms of matching prices, they can make up in excellent fulfilment (speedy delivery and processing) and especially post sale support. Price is absolutely not everything when a company won't stand behind its products and will just wash its hands of them after the sale is done.

I have bought from some retailers specifically not because they offer the best price, but I know if I had a problem, they would take care of it, more than another cheaper-price vendor will. That, in my books, counts for a lot and can't be measured monetarily or through a bottom line low price number on an item.

Their prices are the lowest. The absolutely do not need to change anything, they just have to stay the course.
If you don't like it YOU can shop anywhere else you please and get better service.

Tenda will continue to be successful and make a lot of money because they undercut everyone and make the money back on the volume. Their service would have to get much, much worse and they'd have to actively start ripping people off constantly for people to stop shopping there, and even then when it comes down to the bottom line people will overlook virtually everything.

They do that now, tons of people have been ####ed over by them. But because they undercut everyone else and deal in such volume they suck way more people in to replace the customers that have sworn off them for their shady BS. For every one customer that will never shop there again they probably get 4 new ones who buy a case of 9mm and say “great service, never had an issue, anyone who complains must just be a hater” for simply receiving their order.

Stand at the counter and put your hand up untill someone helps you. (Yes im the bald guy with earbuds).

Works every time

The best customer service I experienced over almost a decade with and never once a bad deal is Budget Shooter's Henry.. fabulous guy very reasonable prices and always on point, never wrong with the orders and no issues even if you cancel.

I wanted to work for him once, but then I thought I am a Chinese guy and I don't want to ruin his good reputation with bad Asian service...

And the worse thing is that he actually wanted to hire me., doesn't this Henry guy know what he's getting into?...

I have spent a ton at tenda over the years. Only had one issue ever, I ordered a 1000 round case of pmc 55gr 5.56 on their Black Friday sale. They emailed to tell me they over sold the 55gr. So they offered me the 62gr green tips for the same price. I was a little choked about it since I can’t use 62gr at the indoor range I shoot at but it was such a crazy deal I decided to go for it. Overall they have slowish shipping but I’ll accept that cause I know it will be slow before hand and I am getting the best price.

My experiences are consistently 10 business days from ordering online to UPS at the door.

You want slow, order from Cabelas.

When you check into a Super 8 do expect the same level of service as a Marriott?

Actually yes, why wouldn’t you?

Customer service should be customer service, regardless of where you go.

Is customer service only for the wealthy now? Or is customer service rated to how much one pays?

Starting to sound like a Liberal, or a piece of sh1t Democrat!......:(
